Gameloft vows to deliver 'action packed' future for Windows Phone

Few in number are the mobile platforms Gameloft hasn't thrown its weight behind, but with the unveiling of Asphalt 7: Heat for Windows Phone comes a statement of intent.
The mobile publishing giant claims a total of 12 big Gameloft releases are currently bound for Windows Phone 8 handsets, with the company vowing to deliver an "action packed future" for Microsoft's platform.
12 of the best
"Asphalt 7: Heat is the first of 12 titles from Gameloft to launch on the Windows Phone 8 platform and offers the very first real-time multiplayer experience optimised to take advantage of the Xbox ecosystem and services," detailed the publisher.
"Additional titles in the Gameloft line-up, which offer a diversified portfolio of immersive and social experiences for fans of every game genre, are due to launch within the coming weeks promising an action-packed future for the Windows Phone platform."

These aren't the first Gameloft games to launch on Microsoft's mobile OS, of course, though the launch of key IP on Windows Phone 8 is being trumpeted rather more loudly than those that hit its predecessor.
The full list of games includes Asphalt 7: Heat, The Amazing Spider-Man, N.O.V.A 3, The Dark Knight Rises, Order & Chaos Online, Uno & Friends, Kingdoms & Lords, Ice Age Village, Real Football 2013, Six Guns, Shark Dash and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.
The news comes as the Windows Phone Store passes 130,000 apps, with Gameloft having also released notable titles on the recently launched BlackBerry 10 platform.
