GDC Europe 2013 kicks off 19 August in Cologne
As we've been finding out recently, the German games business is changing fast.
The move from browser MMOGs to mobile is sure to be one of the hot topics this summer during GDC Europe 2013.
It's just formally announced it will happening from 19-21 August in Cologne, Germany.
As usual, it will be co-located at Congress-Centrum Ost Koelnmesse, and held in conjunction with gamescom - Europe's largest game trade and consumer event.
Things to talk about
Still, the European-flavoured version of the main global GDC event isn't about a single country; something that's reflected in the more than 250 talks that have been submitted.
More details about those will be announced nearer the time, but in terms of structure, there will five tracks. These are Business, Marketing & Management; Design; Production; Programming; and Visual Arts.
There will also be specific sector summits, covering Free-to-Play Design & Business; Smartphone & Tablet Games; and Independent Games.
