Glu commits to Windows Phone 7 launch, heralds new era of gaming

Though those with a keen eye will have already spotted Glu's name on Microsoft's list of Windows Phone 7 launch titles, the publisher has now officially committed itself to supporting the platform from day one.

As such, both Glyder: Adventure Worlds and Guitar Hero 5 will hit Xbox Live for Windows Phone 7 when the platform makes its rumoured debut in October.

Launch love-inGlu's support doesn't stop there, however, with the publisher going as far as to state that Windows Phone 7 represents a sea change in mobile development.

"To be chosen to be part of the launch wave for the Windows Phone 7 platform is incredible," said Glu's general manager Adam Flanders.

"We are excited to bring our simply addictive mobile games to Microsoft devices. We can deliver an authentic experience in a new era of gaming by reaching a vast audience of mobile gamers around the world with these new devices."

It's recently been revealed Windows Phone 7 will launch will a full roster of support from UK networks, with 63 games in all available from the word go.
