Glu Mobile ranked as Deloittes 129th fastest growing tech company in US
Glu Mobile is feeling particularly chipper after being named number 129 in Deloittes Technology Fast 500 list, which charts the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.
"Technology Fast 500 recognises innovative companies that have broken down barriers to success and defied the odds with their remarkable five-year revenue growth," says Phil Asmundson, vice chairman and US technology, media and telecommunications leader at Deloitte.
"We congratulate Glu on this accomplishment."
The rankings are extrapolated from a five year fiscal revenue figure between 2004 and 2008, during which time Glu Mobile apparently grew 1,178 percent.
Outgoing CEO Greg Ballard attributes this revenue growth to the companys focus on delivering high quality games across a range of mobile platforms.
"Glu has proven that it can not only create quality games, but also stay significant and successful in a rapidly changing market, " says Ballard.
