Further expanding its footprint, Google has unveiled four new countries where developers can now submit paid apps to Google Play in their own currencies.

The countries in question are the Czech Republic, Israel, Poland and Mexico, with Google claiming it's been working to cement support for the four territories over the course of the past year.

Nation by nation

Keen-eyed commentators have been quick to point out that developers in two of the countries Israel and Mexico had previously been able to submit paid apps to the marketplace, though Google notes they could only sell their apps through an AdSense merchant account and set prices in US dollars.

"Additionally, we encourage developers everywhere to visit the Developer Console as soon as possible to set prices for their products in the currencies of these new countries," adds Google in the blog entry.

"Stay tuned for more announcements soon as we continue to roll out our new billing infrastructure to buyers and sellers throughout the world."
