It's yet to roll out on handsets, but Google has refreshed its app ratings system on Android Market for web, fitting the marketplace out with a new graph system.

The new set up displays the number of users that have given the app in question a particular score out of five, helping paint a clearer picture of the title's popularity.

It's a similar system to that utilised by online retailers such as Amazon, with the app's average calculated from said votes to also give an overall score out of five.

The new scoring system follows an overhaul to Android Market for web over the last couple of months.

Back in May, Google unveiled an entirely new look for the marketplace designed to aid app discovery, followed up by device compatibility checks earlier in June.
