Crossy Road developer Hipster Whale has announced it's investing in fellow Australian start-up Prettygreat.

The money - $380,000 or AUD$500,000 - will make up Prettygreat's seed round.

As part of the deal Matt Hall and Andy Sum - (the Hipster Whale founders) will become shareholders and advisors.

Formed by ex-Halfbrickers CMO Phil Larsen and designer Luke Muscat and artist Hugh Walters, Prettygreat will be announcing its debut release soon.

Happy news

The news also demonstrates somthing of the financial success of Crossy Road; a game that's been downloaded more than 90 million times, generating most of its revenue from in-game advertising.

"Our priority is smart innovation and design excellence with every game we release," said Phil Larsen, Prettygreat's MD.
