Tapjoy promotes Android app discovery with App Wars event

App promotion outfit Tapjoy has recently got into trouble with Apple.

But while no one seems to know what's exactly happening on iOS, the company - which raised $21 million in VC funding in January - seems to be switching focus.

It's just announced an evening get together under the title App Wars - Android Strikes Back to discuss app discovery, engagement and monetisation on the platform.

The event will be held at the Harlot bar in San Francisco (well known to Pocket Gamer party goers) from 6pm on May 10, which is during Google's I/O event.

As well as Tapjoy's CEO Mihir Shah, other speakers will be Charles Hudson from developer Bionic Panda, Brian Choo from MyTown studio Booyah, Michael Oiknine from analytics specialist Apsalar, and an as-yet to be confirmed person from games publisher Com2uS.

A night of discussion, debate and brainstorming, mixed with a splash cocktails and networking is promised.
