ICE Games expands into Republic of Ireland

ICE Games is preparing to take its first step toward globalisation of its WAP services by making its services available to Irish mobile users, as well as launching its first mobile game.

The Mobile Games Unlimited WAP site will allow users in the Republic of Ireland to purchase mobile games and content, as well as editorial content including cheat codes, game tips and guides, directly through the WAP site from the 1st August.

"[This is] a big thing for the company, and while it's our first time outside of the UK, it's by no means our last move," says ICE Games' managing director Michael Halton.

To help with the expansion, the company is also hiring additional IT staff to keep pace with its growth, whilst preparing to launch its very own mobile game. The game was initially designed in-house, then passed to InLogic for further refinement, and will be released for mobile, smartphone and iPhone shortly.
