IMGAs gain ProSiebenSat.1 Games' sponsorship and media coverage worth 1 million euros

Currently in its nominations phase, the International Mobile Games Awards has announced a key sponsorship.
German media group ProSiebenSat.1 Games has stepped up, offering a media package worth 400,000 for the Grand Prix winner.
Winners of the six other categories will each gain packages worth 100,000.
ProSiebenSat.1 Games' involvement in the IMGAs will run for the next three years, while other sponsors for the 2012 event include Chinese online outfit Tencent, UK chip company ARM, and South Korean government agency KOCCA.
Big deal
"This is a historic agreement and clearly demonstrates the growing interest in mobile games," said Maarten Noyons, founder and CEO of the IMGA.
"I am very proud that ProSiebenSat1 Games has chosen to reach out to game developers through the IMGA. This deal is really good news for the mobile games industry."
ProSiebenSat.1 Games' MD Markus Buchtmann added, "The mobile market is going to be more and more important for us. Our support accommodate our growth strategy in the mobile sector. We are proud to have the IMGA as a partner."
