Over on Pocket Gamer, users are reporting performance issues after upgrading their iPod touch 1G to the new 3.0 software. And it seems they're not alone, as iPod touch users vent their frustrations across the internet after paying for an upgrade that is causing a sluggish response, and even crashing, on their devices.

"Has anyone noticed that the 1st Gen iPod runs slower with the new OS? I upgraded yesterday and it feels slower when opening apps oder scrolling on webpages," begins an increasingly lengthy post on the official Apple discussions forum.

"[Several] applications are showing severe performance issues (PuzzleQuest, Fieldrunners) and are crashing (PuzzleQuest, even after a reset) - problems I never had before," reads a comment on Pocket Gamer after it was reported that only 1 per cent of iPod touch users had so far paid for the upgrade.

Those experiencing personal response from their device suggest problem even extends into synchronising with iTunes, though Apple has yet to make a comment on the potential issue. As soon as they do, we'll let you know.
