Jeremy Laws leaves Universal Mobile Entertainment

Jeremy Laws, senior vice president at Universal Mobile Entertainment, is leaving the company this week.
His departure, which appears to be entirely amicable, will be followed with interest by several mobile games publishers.
During Laws's tenure, Universal was one of the more active Hollywood studios when it came to mobile game licensing - with Laws himself a regular and popular attendee at mobile game conferences.
The studio licensed films and TV shows to publishers including Gameloft, I-play, Player X and LimeLife.
"This has been the best job that I've ever had - it has given me the unique opportunity to be an entrepreneur within a big company and scour the globe for revenue in a series of diverse ancillary businesses," he says, in an email circulated to contacts in the industry.
He goes on to say that "I'm confident I will be working with many of you in the near future", raising the prospect that he'll stay within the mobile entertainment industry.
Laws's mobile duties will now be overseen by Calvin Lim, according to the email.
