27-year veteran Tim Wilson joins Glu Mobile as global CTO

San Francisco-based F2P developer Glu Mobile has announced its recruitment of Tim Wilson as global Chief Technology Officer.

Wilson's games industry career spans 27 years, the majority of which were spent in a 19-year tenure at EA.

During this time he served as the CTO of various business groups, and by the end of his time with the firm he was heading up the EADP Mobile Platform, which focused on post-launch support for EA Mobile games.

Experience and growth

Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO, welcomed Wilson and emphasised the value of his experience.

“I am pleased to welcome Tim Wilson to Glu as we continue to be leaders in the mobile gaming industry under the direction of a top-notch executive team,” he said.

“I expect his expertise and track record of excellence to optimize the services that support Glu’s planned growth.”

Meanwhile, Wilson spoke of his eagerness to get going at Glu Mobile.

“I’ve spent my entire career in gaming and see free-to-play as the business model with the greatest potential for growth,” he commented.

“I’m excited to join the Glu team and look forward to leading the company’s efforts to expand its capabilities to continue providing players with seamless experiences."
