Kickstarter on the agenda as Stainless Games head to Develop Brighton

Organisers behind this year's Develop conference in Brighton have announced Stainless Games co-founders Patrick Buckland and Neil Barnden are to host day two's opening keynote address.
Titled 'Carma-chameleons: Why funding flexibility is the name of the game in 2012', Buckland and Barnden will use the session to detail the process of bringing Magic: The Gathering to multiple platforms including the iPad with Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013.
The pair will also talk about their experience of crowd-funding, having launched a Kickstarter campaign to develop a new game based on cult racer Carmageddon back in May.

The campaign has so far raised more than $625,000 in pledges.
"We always look forward to Develop in Brighton. It's great to catch up with old friends, natter with fellow developers and keep up-to-date with whats happening in the industry," explained Staineless Games CEO Patrick Buckland.
"As well as soaking up the wisdom of our fellow developers, this year we're also taking to the stage to share our experience of becoming the first UK/European developer to successfully complete a Kickstarter campaign," added Neil Barnden, executive director at Stainless Games.
"We hope that we'll be able to inspire others to follow in our footsteps."
Develop In Brighton kicks off on 10 July with the Evolve conference, with the main event then running from 11-12 July. A range of tickets, including the £685 three-day pass, are available from the Develop In Brighton website.
