Developers looking to be in with a shout of picking up an accolade or two at the International Mobile Gaming Awards 2011 more commonly known as the IMGAs have until January 10 to register their titles for nomination.

The IMGAs are designed to highlight innovation and quality in mobile releases, with nine awards set to be handed out at a one day summit at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Deadline dates

Spanning most major smartphone platforms and more traditional outlets such as Java and Brew, the final nominations for the awards will be announced on January 17, before the winners are revealed one month later on February 17.

"Over the past six years, the IMGA have become the leading showcase in the mobile entertainment industry for the best and most innovative mobile games," founder Maarten Noyons said of the awards back in September.

"Leading pioneers in the mobile games industry will be attending and speaking at this important event and several panels will allow operators, handset manufacturers, developers and publishers to exchange ideas on the future of the industry."

Studios interested in registering their titles should do so via the IMGA's official website.
