Make your mobile games press releases more SEO-friendly

Mobile games companies may be adapting to a new world of social media and Web 2.0, but in most examples, their press releases are still resolutely old-school.
That's fine in itself, but there's a really interesting article over on webby blog Mashable that's well worth reading if you're involved in the PR side of the business.
Written by Elgin Community College director of communications Sarah Evans, it focuses on how to make press releases more efficient in terms of search engine optimization (SEO).
It takes the form of ten tips - not exactly a beginner's guide to SEO, but certainly an introduction to key principles as they relate to press releases.
Cut the jargon, use keywords, optimise the first 250 words of the release and, er, be newsworthy are some of the tips.
Larger publishers have PR agencies who are paid to know this sort of stuff, but particularly if you're a smaller firm trying to get the word out about your iPhone and/or Android games, the full article is well worth a read.
