Makeshift Games' Depict is latest OpenFeint Gold star

Aurora Feint has revealed Makeshift Games' Pictionary like puzzler Depict has been picked as the latest OpenFeint Gold title, handing the game a wealth of promotion on the network.

Gold releases are chosen by Aurora Feint as examples of titles that make exceptional use of OpenFeint's community features.

The three previous titles to gain this status were Fieldrunners, Bird Strike and Jet Car Stunts. 

Depict, which hit the App Store back in December 2009 and has since been updated as a universal app for iPhone and iPad, will now be pushed through OpenFeint channels, with special promotions and a dedicated landing page on the network coming as part and parcel of the deal.

"Depict is a ridiculously fun game that really captures the attention of our players," said Aurora Feint's VP of marketing and developer relations Eros Resmini.

"With its innovative OpenFeint integration and addictive gameplay, Depict is the perfect OpenFeint Gold game and a title that we think our 30 million players are going to embrace."

Makeshift itself claims the link up is the perfect marriage for Depict, with the developer making sure to integrate OpenFeint into the title fully.

"We know that players love Depict and wanted to make sure our players were properly equipped to spread the joy," added Makeshift Games manager, James Jacoby.

"We've worked with Aurora Feint to greatly expand our OpenFeint integration to make the social features of the game even more accessible."
