Marmalade adds support for iPhone game engine Cocos2d

Multiplatform development framework Marmalade is now equipped with support for the Cocos2d game engine for iPhone, it's been revealed.
The 2D tool now works fully with the Marmalade SDK, with framework licensees able to utilise the engine free of charge.
Platform play
It's a deal pitched as a way of strengthening Marmalade's multiplatform approach, with the company claiming games created with Coco2d for iPhone can now be easily brought across to both Android and BlackBerry 10.
That's something Albino Pixel has already done with iOS and Android release PowerDown, according to technical director Dave Allanson.
"It took just two weeks to port our existing Cocos2d game for iOS to Marmalade, and deploy it to Android Market," offered Allanson.
"Now that we're working with Marmalade, we can easily publish apps to a host of other platforms that were previously beyond our reach."
Cocos2d for Marmalade can now be downloaded from Github.
