May 6 deadline for 2011 Meffys Awards nominations nears

With the deadline having previously been extended due to 'strong demand', those looking to nominate their apps and services for the 2011 Meffys have just a few further days to register their entries.

The final deadline for submissions for the eighth annual Meffys awards, which looks to recognise innovation within the mobile market, is set for May 6.

There are 18 awards up for grabs in all, with the MEF event set to take place in the Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden on July 7.

Hosted by Ruby Wax, the awards will follow the inaugural MEF Global 2011 conference.

All nominees will be showcased at the event itself, offering developers exposure to what last year included over 350 industry leaders from across the globe.

Firms looking to enter their products or service to the 2011 Meffys need to visit the event's official website.

Tickets for the awards are also still on sale, with MEF Members charged £150 per ticket, members of supporting organisations £250, and non-members £350.
