Media device manufacturer Creative returns with Zii EGG

Creative seems to have been lying low since the MP3 hardware craze died down a bit, but it now seems to be planning a triumphant return with an Android powered iPod touch rival.
Perhaps a little more accurately, the device (which is rather obscurely titled Zii EGG) runs the Plaszma platform, which allows the simultaneous development for both Plaszma and Android, on top of some quite impressive hardware.
The Zii EGG boasts OpenGL ES support, 32 GB of built-in memory, are full SD memory card slot, high-definition video playback, 1080p video output, front and rear cameras, wi-fi, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, a three axis accelerometer, and a ten point multi-touch touchscreen.
Judging by this awe-inspiring specification, it seems Creative it has been hard at work developing a new mobile media new power chip to rival the likes of NVIDIA and Qualcomm, which provides the beating heart of its new device.
According to Engadget, the Zii EGG is a developer platform aimed at OEMs, though Creative says the platform is market ready with a loose price tag of around $400.
