Metaflow partners with Mobile Streams, providing developer access to 49 app stores

Pitched as a move that will enable developers to target 49 marketplaces via a single upload, Metaflow Solutions' decision to deliver its library of apps to social community store Appitalism is just as an important step for the firm behind the store, Mobile Streams.
The partnership will see developers working on B2B marketplace Metaflow gain direct access to Appitalism and its associated network, exposing them to a new set of consumers.
Completing the deal, Metaflow has also committed to delivering its existing library; with games sold via its MetaConnect distribution service making an immediate appearance on Appitalism.
Deal derby
It's the latest in a long line of deals by Mobile Streams, designed to flood Appitalism with content.
In the last couple of months, both Digital Chocolate and Irish games service provider Selatra have signed similar deals that resulted in their app rosters making their way to the platform.
"As well as the numerous benefits to developers, by combining Metaflow with Appitalism, we ensure that apps can be quickly and easily uploaded and published to our services," Mobile Streams' CEO Simon Buckingham said of the most recent deal.
"We are also delighted to add the Metaflow Connect catalog of published games to our Appitalism service as we continue to add more quality apps and games titles and choices for our consumers."
Stop the clock
The two parties are keen to stress that it's the developer who is the real winner, however.
Though the partnership doesn't technically merge the two marketplaces, it will act as a valuable time saver in Metaflow CEO Charles McLeod's point of view.
"Taking into consideration the amount of time and effort it takes to develop an app and bring it to market, it is important that developers have a strong distribution network in place," said McLeod.
"The partnership between Metaflow and Appitalism comes from a mutual understanding of the app market and the need for solutions such as ours to simplify the global deployment and content management process for developers."
