MobilityWare scoring $300,000 a month with ad network Greystripe

Steve Jobs may believe iOS was lacking a profitable ad network before iAd came along, but it would appear some developers are doing just fine without it.
Following on from Greystripe's claim that its sign ups have doubled since the launch of Apple's platform, iPhone and iPad developer MobilityWare has revealed its monthly revenues from the network are $300,000 at least on occasion.
Game on for Greystripe
That's according to its June figures, with the company reporting its 17 iOS apps pooled $298,308 from Greystripe's ad platform across the course of the month.
It's a healthy total, although it doesn't quite match the $500,000 a month figure rival Backflip reported back in March, the studio's titles generating around 400 million impressions per month.
Nonetheless, MobilityWare's figures are further evidence that free apps bolstered by advertising can prove just as lucrative as the money generated by paid apps - year-long revenues at the same rate, for instance, would total $3.6 million.
It's worth noting, however, that MobilityWare's line-up is especially wide reaching.
Splitting its revenue 17 ways illustrating what a smaller studio might make on an app by app basis - brings in a more modest monthly total of around $17,650, or $212,000 per app per year.
