MoMinis announces $100,000 GameCast development contest

MoMinis, a leading mobile game publisher has announced its GameCast contest 2012.
Backed by a $100,000 prize package for the winner, the competition is designed to find the talents behind the games.
MoMinis will be following the contestants closely and will assist them in bringing their creativity and innovation to life using the MoMinis Studio - a fast and easy to use game creation integrated development environment (IDE).
Indeed, this wider focus is reflected in the main prize.
It's broken down into a $10,000 cash prize, $40,000 funding for the establishment of a local gaming development studio run by the contest winner and $50,000 credit for a marketing campaign.
Of course, the winning title will also get promotion on MoMinis' PlayScape gaming network, which has more than 30 million users worldwide.

In terms of how the contest is structured, developers can now register on the Gamecast contest website, with 24 December 2012 the deadline for the submission of concepts.
These should demonstrate what your game is about and be presented in video form.
MoMinis will support developers as they make their games, providing webinars, tips and tricks articles and other advice.
The first webinar on the subject of Getting Started with The MoMinis Studio is on 5 November, to be followed by one on Good Game Criteria on 8 November.
The deadline for game submissions is 7 March 2013, when judges from MoMinis, Google, Vodafone, Appolicious and Pocket Gamer will come up with the list of finalists.
The winners will be announced on 13 March, with the ten best runner-ups each winning a Google tablet.
