Monopoly N-Gage game to get launch-day price cut

When it comes to game pricing, the pattern emerging on the App Store is to launch at a certain price, then cut it a few weeks (or months) later when sales start to slow down.
N-Gage may be going the other way. Nokia has announced that EA Mobile's Monopoly Here & Now: The World Edition will be released next week for N-Gage, and that for the first month it'll be sold at a discount of 30 per cent off its intended full price.
It's an interesting tactic - usually the early adopters are expected to pay more, not less. It'll be interesting to see what kind of sales boost the game gets - not to mention whether the price does indeed come down after a month.
Meanwhile, the latest Top 5 N-Gage sales chart sees EA Mobile's Tetris hanging on to top spot for yet another week, followed by Glu's World Series of Poker, Nokia's Creatures of the Deep, Gameloft's Asphalt 4, and Capcom's Resident Evil: Degeneration.
Perhaps the Monopoly price cut is an effort to loosen Tetris's, ahem, monopolisation of the top spot in the N-Gage chart.
