Ad-funded mobile games firm Greystripe has signed up another new customer and it's a biggie. Media giant NBC Universal, to be precise.

NBCU will be making Greystripe's catalogue of ad-funded games available on several of its mobile internet sites, including those for Bravo, the Sci-Fi Channel and NBC.com.

"NBCU has made a strategic commitment to offer the highest quality mobile content and cutting edge distribution models," says Salil Dalvi, senior VP of mobile platform developent at NBCU's digital distribution division. "We are pleased to partner with Greystripe, as they allow NBCU to expand our gaming and ad sales efforts."

Whether this means NBCU will actually be selling the advertising space within the games is unclear.

It's a big deal for Greystripe, though, which has been growing its network of distribution partners sharply in the last year. The company now has a catalogue of more than 900 games from 120 publishers, and claims they've generated more than 90 million downloads.
