New Apple patent points toward front-facing camera

Apple has been applying for more patents, this time regarding dynamic user interfaces designed to reconfigure when the handset is in motion.
A couple of different options are explored in the patents, which aim to help improve dexterity while using the iPhone when in motion, and aiding the user by avoiding distraction from their surroundings.
MacRumors happened to notice that the schematic diagram submitted with the patents also uncovers the potential for a forward facing camera on the iPhone. Labelled as device 180, this CCD is referenced in the patent application, which points out that the device could actually be rear mounted, too.
However, this definitely isnt the existing CCD device currently on the iPhone handset, which is in a different location and labelled as device 220, so the possibility of future iPhone updates including video calling looks stronger than ever.
