New studio Loadstar opens in Barcelona

A team of former Novarama developers have launched a new studio in Barcelona called Loadstar.

The team has previously shipped more than 20 titles across between them across PC, console, and mobile,

Loadstar said it aims to create single-player experiences that resonate with players and bring fresh gameplay ideas to life.

The studio is currently working on its first project which it describes as a third-person sci-fi action-puzzle adventure game featuring “innovative gameplay mechanics, a moving narrative and stunning visuals". 

Loadstar told PocketGamer.biz that it is currently “on the lookout for funding" for its first project. A prototype of the title will be showcased at startup event 4YFN Barcelona and GDC in March. 

Why Barcelona 

“Our inspiration comes from the classic games that ignited our passion for gaming, blending them with modern technology to create exciting, innovative experiences,” said Loadstar co-founder and business manager Jessica Bermejo.
