Software developers from across New Zealand have come together in order to raise money for the Christchurch relief effort.

Studios behind a total of 34 different apps from across the country have pledged to donate all proceeds to the New Zealand Red Cross until March 5.

Revenue relief

Games such as Majic Software's Chopper 2 and PikPok's Bird Strike are included in the appeal detailed on AppAppeal.co.nz which is looking to bolster efforts to help those affected by the quake that struck on February 22.

Those involved which also include 3 apps from Canada and 2 from Germany have also set up Facebook page detailing their involvement.

It's not the first time developers have come together to pool their proceeds. Back in December, several studios donated a third of all their revenue to community-based charity Child's Play.

More details can be found on the appeal's website.
