Ridiculous Fishing and Towelfight 2 are heading the Quality Index's Top 10 rated iOS and Android games of March 2013
If you were wondering what the best-reviewed iOS and 'droid games on the web last month were, here are the iPhone Quality Index, iPad Quality Index, and Android Quality Index round-ups for March to fill you in.

The iPhone, iPad, and Android Quality Indexes boast over 650,000 reviews (in total) from websites like 148Apps, Pocket Gamer, and AppGamer, and use a unique metric to create a single definitive score for each iOS and Android title.

It's a whopper!

It comes as no real surprise to discover Vlambeer's Ridiculous Fishing is in the #1 slot on the iPhone Qi (and iPad Qi, in fact) game chart for March.

With a compelling three-stage catching system, it's the casual hit of the winter / early spring.

Foursaken's Block Fortress brings up the rear, however, through its intoxicating mix of Minecraft-like world creation, tower defence, and first-person shooter action.

It doesn't sound like it should work, but, by gum, it does.

In at #4 on the iPad Qi games leaderboard is Cling!, the creator of which has been making a name for itself with its novel momentum-based gameplay.

Getting from one side of a maze to another has rarely been this much tactile fun.

Further down this month's hit parade comes Paradox Interactive, which has quite the trick up its sleeve with Magicka.

It's a neat twist on the scrolling beat-'em-up, you see, in which you mix and match various magical attacks with gleefully destructive results.

Over in the land of Google, meanwhile, Butterscotch Shenanigans's Towelfight 2: The Monocle of Destiny has flicked its way to the top of our Android Qi game chart.

This free-roaming twin-stick shooter is as twisted as it is fun. Trust me. Or not.

At #3, we have the unique Slingshot Racing, which manages to be both intense and challenging - all the more remarkable given that you control it by using just a single button.

In March, we have also witnessed the return of a casual sporting great in the shape of Super Stickman Golf 2.

Noodlecake Studios's latest is more of the same outlandish crazy golf action with added polish and scale - just how we wanted it to be.

And, naturally, these are static graphs based on live listings which are subject to constant change as new releases and reviews emerge.

In order to provide a regular marker of the critical zeitgeist, however, we will continue to round up the best of the iOS and Android games released each month to provide the definitive Quality Index top tens.
