Game Insight invests $5 million into new divison for Facebook Instant Games development

Lithuanian developer Game Insight has already invested $5 million in a new division to create games for Facebook's Instant Games platform.

The studio will be using its casual, midcore and hardcore brands to build titles for the platform. It has already launched match-3 game Tribez Rush.

Game Insight has also acquired Alis Games and used its Need A Hero brand for an Instant Games launch title, Need A Hero: Puzzle Rush.

Connecting with gamers

"Facebook, like Game Insight, has always placed tremendous importance on connecting with gamers wherever they are," said Anatoly Ropotov, Game Insight CEO.

"And it's becoming increasingly clear that the future of messaging apps is about much more than just chat and video.

"Messaging apps are a platform now; a blank canvas with a billion users waiting to see what comes next. Instant Games expands that canvas even further, allowing for a wide range of gameplay experiences built from the ground up for the new consumption paradigm, and reachable in an instant."

Game Insight is currently developing a further six games for the Facebook Instant Games platform, which launched on November 29th 2016.
