Former Hearthstone game director Ben Brode opens new studio Second Dinner

Former Hearthstone game director Ben Brode has launched a new studio called Second Dinner.

The ex-Blizzard dev took to his personal Twitter to announce the news and share the new company’s own page.

Details are currently sparse, with more news on what the team is up to expected in the coming months.

However, Brode did confirm in an exchange that the studio was up and running and not in the set-up phase.

What about second breakfast?

Brode called time on his 15-year tenure at Blizzard back in April of this year.

Having joined Blizzard as a QA tester in 2003, Brode moved to a producer role in 2005 and from there rose up to game director.

He’s best known as leading free-to-play collectable card game Hearthstone, which passed the 70 million download mark in May 2017.
