Ngmoco CEO Neil Young confirmed as Evolve keynote
Due to take place in London on December 8, the inaugural Evolve Conference appears to be attracting the bright lights of the industry, with organisers lifting the lid of a number of confirmed keynote speakers for the conference.
Leading the line is ngmoco CEO and founder Neil Young, who is set to host a session on what his company has achieved over the past two years.
And social gaming in general will be Evolve's focus, with Playfish co-founder Kristian Segerstrale also set to discuss just where this particular industry offshoot goes next.
Social chatter
Organisers claim speakers such as Young and Segerstrale will give attendees an all encompassing look on just where the industry is going.
"With innovation in gaming speeding up and social gaming and internet connectivity having evolved from fringe to mainstream in barely a AAA development cycle, the future of social and digitally distributed gaming is at the forefront of this year's conference," said Andy Lane, MD of Tandem Events, which is organising Evolve.
"With two great keynotes, delegates will discover just how rapidly the market is evolving, the lessons that have been learnt along the way and the approach leading social, casual and mobile game developers are adopting in their quest for success."
Now and next
Adding to said future focus will be a panel featuring ustwo co-founder mills, and developers from Rolando studio Hand Circus and Wonderland (GodFinger) amongst others looking at just what's next in games.
Videogames advisory group Tenshi Partners will also cast some light on the change to the natural cycle of gaming hardware.
With further speakers set to be announced in the near future, those looking to attend the event - which will run for one day only on December 8 - can pick up tickets for an early bird price of £245 (plus VAT) from the Evolve website.
