Nordic outfit PAN Vision launches digital publishing arm

Following its move into digital distribution on XBLA and PSN, Nordic studio PAN Vision has announced its intention to do the same on mobile platforms.
As a result, the firm has announced it is working with Fabrication Games on a new iPhone title, World in War.
PAN Vision is set to publish the game on the App Store within the fourth quarter of 2010.
"To meet the changes of a market where an increasing amount of entertainment is distributed digital, PAN Vision has since a few years ago focused on strengthening its publishing business for both films and games," says company CEO Per Almgren.
"We can now offer both small and large developers a platform from which they can bring their games to the international market."
Nose for the Nordics
Its digital business is as a result of what it claims was a year-long process of meeting more than 50 developers across Europe, although the company admits it will focus on Nordic studios initially, adding its move into the digital arena will be a natural part of its existing publishing business.
WWII strategy title World in War will be the first iPhone release to mark this new direction, the firm proclaiming it an important step in its development.
"We are pleased to be working with some of the best developers in the industry together with a wonderful IP," adds PAN Vision business manager Mathias Styrström.
"PAN truly believes this will be a great game that will find its way to all the strategy fans around the world."
