Offscreen does 25 million Ovi Store downloads

When it comes to developers fostering healthy relationships with ODMs, talking up apps sales on the latter's platforms seems safe ground.
It's good news for Nokia then, as Finnish studio Offscreen Technologies has revealed downloads of its Ovi Store apps have surpassed the 25 million mark.
The studio, which is responsible for scores of titles available on Nokia's range of touchscreen phones, claims some of its games have hit one million downloads or more in their own right.

"The high popularity of Offscreen apps has contributed to the consistent Ovi Store growth and demonstrates that Nokia device owners have a huge appetite for highly visual content they can quickly download and use repeatedly," said Nokia's VP and global head of media Marco Argenti.
The company says its most popular Ovi Store title is Labyrinth Touch, with CEO Harri Myllynen adding that Nokia's marketplace is the perfect medium to "further extend the popularity of our titles" to a worldwide audience.
