Paid Android Market finally comes to the Netherlands
Although T-Mobile hasnt made any official announcements to its customers in the Netherlands, many G1 users are reporting the paid Market going live on their handsets.
The rollout was very similar in the UK, with a gradual and quiet update rather than a blanket activation of the Google online application store.
According to MobileGamesBlog, sales of the G1 have been very promising in the Netherlands, though users have had to wait a long time to be able to finally buy the paid applications that make the device what it is.
Whether or not the pricing will be an issue remains to be seen, as the Android Market is a global system, with prices in dollars and pounds, though presumably euros could also be added to the financial mix as European territories come online.
