Palm Pre superseded before release
Okay, its a little harsh to say that Palm is already preparing to replace the Pre before its even launched, but TechCrunch has uncovered details of a rather tempting alternative.
Palm is apparently well underway with a second WebOS powered handset that appears much more compact than the Pre. Details are slim at the moment, but this looks to be a much smaller device that in all likelihood will shed the slide-out QWERTY in favour of a trim design.
Its believed the new Palm WebOS handset could be with us in the latter half of 2009, with the Pre rumoured to be gearing up for an aggressive (and risky) launch the day before Apples keynote speech at this years WWDC.
Palm, it seems, is once again showing its teeth, and is going for the big players jugular in 2009.
