Branching out from its London base, organisers behind the latest Mobile Monday meet bound for Birmingham on 30 April have named the lucky bunch who've secured spots at the event.

Leading the line will be PapayaMobile evangelist Oscar Clark, who has previously made a splash at the London shindigs.

Clark's opening gambit will be followed by a series of eight different mobile showcases, all designed to give studios a spot in the limelight.

Ready to LAUNCH

On board for those showcases include IndieSkies programmer Andrew Roper, Retroburn Game Studios director Martin Caine, director of Crash Lab Martin Wakeley, dojit CEO David Bozward, PlayMyCode architect Joseph Lenton, Matmi MD and founder Jeff Coghlan, Flaming Pumpkin's creative director Charlie Horn, and GrinLock CEO Philippe Ingels.

The meet itself is being hosted by those behind the regular LAUNCH conferences, with organiser and business development manager at Birmingham Science Park, Matthew Hidderley, claiming the event can open doors for those involved in the mobile scene.

"Mobile gaming provides a huge opportunity for many developers and this event is an ideal opportunity to network and learn from a variety of mobile developers through to visiting the Park’s games and digital incubator and finding out about the entrepreneurs for the future scheme for technology businesses," said Hidderley.

Mobile Monday at LAUNCH will run between 6-8pm on 30 April at Birmingham Science Park Aston's Faraday Wharf.

More details can be found on the LAUNCH website.
