PaymentOne rebrands as PayOne as carrier billing platform goes One-Click

Carrier billing specialist PaymentOne has announced it is to rebrand its operations under the simplified PayOne banner, with the company in the process of rolling out its new 'One-Click' payment system.
The mobile payments service, which recently unveiled an API for HTML5 apps, allows consumers to pay for apps and games using their phone bill.
One-Click, it's claimed, streamlines this process even further, with PayOne looking to break down the barriers that put off consumers with parting with their cash.
Knocking down the pay walls
"Different from offline and ecommerce, every added data element or keystroke required of a mobile consumer on the small screen is a serious point of friction and a measurable point of failure or falloff for a merchant," said CEO Joe Lynam.
"Requiring the consumer to enroll, pre-register, provide sensitive personal or credit card data or establish a separate user name and password to make a simple payment amounts to far too much friction for a mobile user.
"The new PayOne brand represents our mission to streamline and eliminate every single step, process and keystroke possible to optimise the mobile payment experience for the consumer and our partner merchants."
