Peter Molyneux confirmed as Unite 12 keynote

Veteran game designer Peter Molyneux has been named as the keynote speaker for this year's Unite conference in Amsterdam.
The annual event, which will set up shop in the Dutch capital between 22-24 August, will see Molyneux take to the stage to discuss working with Unity on his new outfit 22Can's first iOS and PC project Curiosity.

"I am greatly looking forward to speaking at the Unite Conference," Molyneux explained.
"Unity has allowed 22Cans to prototype and release in a remarkably short time.
"I'm excited to share these experiences and potentially inspire attendees to use the fast iteration enabled with Unity to be creative, take chances, and design games that will in turn inspire others."
Other keynotes include Unity founders David Helgason, Nicholas Francis, and Joachim Ante, who are set to open the conference by unveiling both new Unity projects and technology to attendees.
"At Unity we are lifelong fans of Peter Molyneux's games, and I can't wait to hear his thoughts on the evolution of the game industry," said Unity CEO David Helgason.
"Peter is one of the coolest developers and a great speaker and we are extremely proud to count him amongst Unity users."
Speakers unite
Keynotes aside, Unite 2012 will offer more than 40 hours of sessions across five conference tracks programming, workflow, visual art, business, and marketing.
Confirmed speakers include inXile CEO Brian Fargo, The Creative Assembly's Renaud Charpentier, and Unity's Erland Korner and Jonas Echterhoff.
Registration for the event is now open, with tickets for the main conference currently priced at around $420, including booking fees.
