Player X makes Red Herring 100 Global list

Congratulations to Player X for its nomination as a finalist in the Red Herring 100 Global award, nominated by the business magazine's editorial team.

The 100 nominees were chosen from companies who've been winners and finalists in the regional versions held in North America, Europe and Asia in the last three years.

“We are understandably honoured to receive the Red Herring 100 Global recognition. This is a great start to 2009 and augurs well for the rest of the year,” says Player X boss Tony Pearce.

Player X says it's the only mobile company to be nominated for the 100 Global Award. However, there were others in the longlist of 200, including mobile social networking firms FunkySexyCool and NewBay, mobile search company JumpTap, and mobile VoIP / messaging firm Nimbuzz.
