Puzzle & Dragons 0 opens pre-registrations ahead of late May release

GungHo Online Entertainment’s highly lucrative puzzle RPG Puzzle & Dragons is getting another new entry in the series with Puzzle & Dragons 0, set for release in late May 2025.
Echoing its predecessor, the new title will feature the franchise’s established puzzle RPG mechanics while introducing brand-new systems.
Players will be tasked with matching three or more Orbs of the same colour in vertical or horizontal lines to erase them, resulting in an attack against enemy creatures.
Skilled plays will result in higher damage output, with the goal being to defeat foes before they defeat the player.
A long legacy
The series’ latest entry has opened up for pre-registration. It will be made available on iOS and Android in more than 150 countries and regions around the world with 11 language options. It will be free-to-play with in-app purchases.
Puzzle & Dragons 0 will also allow players to create new monsters and to play flexibly between landscape and portrait.

According to GungHo, the Puzzle & Dragons series has received over 90 million downloads worldwide to date, achieved in 13 years since the original Puzzle & Dragons’ 2012 release. It quickly shot to the top of Japan’s top-grossing charts and became the first mobile game to surpass $1 billion in revenue.
Having long since surpassed $6bn, this makes quite the legacy for Puzzle & Dragons 0 to live up to.
