Qualcomm has published a video showcasing the kind of experience Snapdragon-powered devices can expect to deliver in the near future.

The video focuses on interaction between smart TVs and smartphones and tablets, mirroring the industry-wide move towards greater levels of convergence between all such platforms.

Primed and ready to go

Said promo highlights what Qualcomm believes can be achieved with the Snapdragon S4 Prime Processors to help "redefine the smart TV experience."

"The S4 Prime is transforming the TV into an entertainment hub and revolutionising the connected home," the firm said in a statement.

Qualcomm claims the processors enable smart TVs to be console-quality gaming systems, connected computers, peer-to-peer communication devices and movie screens all at once.

"All the above utilise new interactive controls using gestures and facial recognition," Qualcomm added.

"In addition, Miracast wireless display technology provides seamless, rich multi-screen interactivity with tablets and smartphones."

Winning with RT

A second video previews wireless gaming over LTE, with Qualcomm having previously demonstrated the technology using games for Windows RT - a version of Windows 8 designed for ARM-based tablets - back at E3.
