Tapjoy adds support for OpenUDID

Likes the consumer opt-out
Tapjoy adds support for OpenUDID

In the big UDID disruption, mobile monetisation outfit Tapjoy had been uncharacteristically coy.

It quickly said it had switched to MAC addresses as "part of a workable solution", but hadn't given more details.

Now, however, comes news it's decided to add support for the OpenUDID standard too.

Doubling up

"In an effort to provide even more options to our developer community, Tapjoy has released a new SDK providing another alternative to Unique User IDs (UDIDs) in the form of OpenUDID," it says on its blog.

Tapjoy states one of the reasons it decided to use OpenUDID is that it allows consumers to opt-out of tracking - something there's been some confusion about.
