Report: Glu reducing European operations in cost cutting measure

In a move that drastically reduces the publisher's operations across the continent, MobileGamesBlog reports Glu is letting a large portion of its European workforce go.
The site claims lots of Glu employees received termination notices last week, with Glu reportedly looking to tap up talent in cheaper regions to save money.
Glu on the go?
"The rumours have been flying around for some time, but I think we and most of our readers have been expecting this for a while," the blog's author, Arjan Olsder, says in the entry.
"Glu will not be shutting EU operations down entirely. Some of the sales guys will remain in place, but from what we heard so far it is only a hand full."
As a result, Olsder says it's the development side of operations that will take the major hit, with Glu's studios in London set to be closed down as the publisher spreads its base overseas.
Glu already has studios and offices in Russia, Brazil, China and India.
Last week, it also let go some of its US-based marketing and PR staff.
