If talk is to be believed and, owing to Google's move for Motorola, bada is to become an increasingly important part of Samsung's device strategy.

One part of its renewed charm offensive is to relaunch the platform's developer site, with Samsung touting changes to its app management process and its user interface.

The new bada developers site also supports Korean a late addition, perhaps, given where Samsung is based sports a "new design and functional layout" and now delivers the bada SDK without users having to register.

Samsung spruce up

"Bada Developers has revamped its look, features, functions and many more to provide bada developers with the optimum support they need in developing bada applications," details Samsung on its website.

"The overall process for generating and managing applications under the My Applications menu has been revised.

"Now, with simple intuitive steps, developers can more easily generate and setup applications and a more functional organisation allows developers to get a more comprehensive view of their applications."

Total bada shipments passed the 8 million mark back in November Samsung shifting an average of 500,000 devices a month - with app downloads topping 110 million.
