Show Focus: Game Connection Europe 2008

Game Connection Europe is certainly one of the more intriguing industry events, thanks to its focus of being "a speed dating event for business-focused video game makers".

What that means is a bunch of game developers and technology/platform firms selling their wares to hundreds of potential buyers.

Next Wednesday September 17th is the deadline for registering as a game or service seller for this year's event, which takes place in Lyon from November 5-7th.

The likes of 2K Games, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Konami, Microsoft, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe, Sega, THQ and Ubisoft are already confirmed participants.

Looking down the list of previous attendees, numerous mobile firms are represented, so this year's event should be relevant on the mobile side, as well as console.
