Games services firm Side has opened a new studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The new facility is set in Butantã, São Paulo as the company aims to more than double its South American workforce within a year.

Formerly known as Pole to Win (PTW), Side said growing demand from clients drove the need for a larger São Paulo studio. It now plans to create at least 100 new jobs across QA, art, and co-development services.

Growing aggressively

The service provider has already secured an additional floor in its new São Paulo building to double its size again, citing significant growth potential in the region.

“When we arrived in Sao Paulo [in 2024], it was always our plan to enter the market and grow aggressively - that’s just in our company DNA,” said Side CEO Deborah Kirkham.

“With 50% year-over-year growth, it’s safe to say we achieved that and then some. Side is now one of the largest full-service gaming services companies on the continent, and we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon."

Side VP of regional operations for the Americas Sébastien Bisch: "The only way a studio achieves the kind of success we've had in the short time we’ve been in Sao Paulo happens when you recruit hyper-motivated and qualified talent.”

Side was founded in 2009 and operates 20 studios across 14 countries, providing services including art production, game development, audio, QA, localisation, player support, community management, and data solutions.
