Antix Labs has announced that its multiplatform game service, which covers phones, tablets, PC and TVs - will be preinstalled on selected smart TVs from Vestel and Haier.

This follows on from a string of previous deals, signed with a range of ecosystem partners such as Broadcom, Green Button and MStar.

Vestel stated that its range of smart TVs 'from entry level upwards,' will ship with the  and a number of games preloaded.

Vestel which is one of the largest European TV manufacturers has confirmed that users will have access to a game store that supports a range of payment models for further purchases.

"Antix enables Vestel to deploy in-the-box and via its store a range of easy-to-discover, high quality games that consumers want to play," explained Vestel's deputy general manager Hakan Kutlu.

Even smarter

Meanwhile, Chinese manufacturer Haier's HXT range of smart TVs and set top boxes will be powered by Snapdragon S4 processors and run the Android 4.1 OS.

Whether these devices will have unfettered access to Google Play is currently unclear, but they will certainly have access to Antix's game service.

"Antix is excited by its collaboration and partnership with Haier on its HXT Series and other products," explained Antix Labs chief executive Francis Charig.

"Haier is taking consumers to new levels of TV-centric entertainment, enabling improved and novel experiences - these include our collaboration in deploying multi-screen, multiplayer, high quality gaming through Antix's seamless game service." 

Charig went on to claim that the HXT series, which boasts a range of input methods that includes an embedded camera and a wifi-connected remote, will offer "the true capability of console-class, living room gaming inside the TV."
