Steel Media launches Quality Index for Android

PocketGamer.biz publisher Steel Media has launched a new Android section for review aggregator Quality Index.
At launch, android.qualityindex.com taps into more than 290,000 reviews to provide a condensed critical score - or Qi rating - for 4,500 Android applications and counting.
Quality, not quantity
Its debut follows the launch of Quality Index's iPad section back in March, with the site now offering complete coverage for both iOS and Android.
With rankings on both the App Store and Google Play primarily focusing on downloads or revenue, Quality Index is designed to help critically acclaimed apps stand out from the crowd, with the site acting as an aid to app discovery for consumers.
As well as Pocket Gamer reviews, other sites include Life of Android, Android Tapp and Android Rundown, as well as user ratings from Amazon's Appstore for Android and Google Play.
Weekly snapshots of the best reviewed new releases for both iOS and Android according to Quality Index will also be published on PocketGamer.biz.
