Supercell’s Clash of Clans has broken $4 billion in revenues on iOS since its launch back in 2012, which generated enough buzz to send the news straight to the top of our illustrious Hot Five.

The data comes courtesy of App Annie, who had a peek at the past 10 years of iOS to derive various forms of data. One of the biggest being that Clash of Clans has grossed the most revenue out of any game or app.

Second up, PUBG Corp decided to end its lawsuit against Epic Games that alleged PUBG had its copyright infringed by Fortnite.

The physics-based linker game had been in soft-launch since October 30th last year on Android. It had initially appeared as Royal Boulevard Saga, which was soft-launched in August 2016.

A slew of indies have been hit with a calamitous drop in installs on Google Play following recent algorithm changes.

Problematic signs starting showing on Thursday June 21st, with a host of devs airing concern on various forums from Unity to Discord. The issues persisted to Monday morning, June 25th with many of them reporting drops of up to 90 per cent in organic traffic.

The fallout is supposedly the result of a bug that is interfering with how apps can verify paid licenses.

The bug has since been acknowledged by a Google employee who said the problem is under investigation. A fix has yet to arrive.

Why the suit has been dropped is unclear.

However, both companies are linked through a relationship with Chinese tech and entertainment giant Tencent. So it's possible that the parent has had to get in to stop the kids from fighting.
